He completed his General Surgery in 2006 and Plastic Surgery residency in 2010 from prestigious Grant Medical College, Mumbai. He served as an Assistant Professor in Plastic Surgery in B.Y. L. Nair Charitable Hospital Mumbai and visited many prestigious Plastic Surgery Departments in India such as TATA Memorial Hospital, Mumbai and Ganga Hospital, Coimbatore. To attain up-most skills in Cosmetic Surgery he completed Mentor and CSI Fellowship in Cosmetic Surgery at Breach Candy Hospital, Mumbai. He practiced Cosmetic Surgery in Mumbai for some time and had privilege to operate on quite a few Bollywood celebrities to enhance their beauty.
Dr Ram, also had a very prestigious Microsurgery fellowship at CMUH, Taiwan and has strong base for reconstructive microsurgery too. He got his fellowship with world renowned Dr Hung-Chi Chen, who is famous for vascularised lymph node transfer, voice reconstruction in cancer hypopharynx and other difficult and innovative micro-surgical reconstructions and techniques. Dr Ram is one of the few Plastic Surgeons in world to have both Microsurgery and Cosmetic surgery Fellowships making him specialized in both fields.
